About

What ParentalPrivacy.com is.

ParentalPrivacy.com is an independent digital privacy research resource for US parents. We translate federal and state-level privacy laws, including COPPA, FERPA, and emerging state legislation in California, Florida, New York, Texas, and Utah, into plain-English guidance that parents can act on without a law degree.

We are not a law firm. We do not provide legal advice. We do not accept funding from EdTech companies, app developers, or any entity with a commercial interest in the platforms we cover. Our only interest is helping parents make informed decisions about their children's digital lives.

The site is currently in a research phase. Editorial publishing is paused while we conduct deep-layer auditing of 2026 EdTech privacy shifts and build the App Privacy Checker, a tool that will deliver automated, plain-English privacy risk assessments for any app a child uses. Beta access for the 2027 launch is available exclusively to waitlist subscribers.

The free 10-Minute Family Privacy Audit is available for immediate download. It covers social media privacy settings, school technology transparency, and identity protection steps that every US parent should take.
